Actress / Voice Actor / Singer
She began her career in 1998 as a child actress, appearing in TV dramas and commercials, and made her voice acting debut in 2003. She gained widespread recognition in 2006 for her role as Haruhi Suzumiya in the anime The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, with both the opening theme “Bouken Desho Desho?” and the ending theme “Hare Hare Yukai” becoming major hits. That same March, she debuted as a solo artist.
She has voiced characters such as Reira Serizawa in NANA, Misa Amane in DEATH NOTE, and Mina Roshan / Nene Rora in Macross Frontier. In recent years, she has expanded her career as an actress, performing in musicals like Les Misérables and In This Corner of the World, as well as the stage play Chainsaw Man The Stage.
Following her 8-city domestic tour AYA HIRANO LIVE TOUR 2025 -evolutions- (including Okinawa) and her Asia tour, she will celebrate the 20th anniversary of her solo debut next year, and 30 years in the entertainment industry the year after.
